CSC Review and Giveaway: FHI Heat

I look forward to my visits to my awesome stylist, Meggan, every two months. She pretty much rocks my hair, and I never leave disappointed. The only thing that ever stresses me at the salon is that nagging feeling that I'll never get my hair to look like it does when I leave there -- like I'm in a shampoo commercial. Last time I was there, trying to pick up on tips on how to make my hair look good, I said -- "Do you think it's my hair dryer? I mean, is a hair dryer just a blowdryer?"

She pretty much snorted and laughed and, after making sure everyone else had heard my (obviously ludicrous) question, she bent down closely to me and said loudly (because she was blowdrying my hair, she had to be loud and close, you know?) "No. A hair dryer is certainly not JUST a hair dryer." Then she proceeded to give me the specifics on a blowdryer that put my 15 dollar choice to shame.

So, recently I had the opportunity to try out a salon-quality hair dryer from FHI Heat. It certainly puts my little Target number to shame. It is really really light, but dries my hair faster than ever (and I have a LOT of hair). It is really powerful -- it has 3 heat settings and 2 speed settings, plus it has a button for a cool blast and a button for a heat boost. It pretty much rocks. After seeing what a difference this blow dryer makes, I will never purchase a non salon-quality hair dryer again. My hair is so smooth and in such better shape than it used to be just in the month that I've been using it. Plus it's pink. How cool is that? It does retail for $195, but when you think about how often you struggle to make your hair look just like you want it to, it suddenly seems VERY worth it.

The folks at FHI Heat are so sure that you are going to love their products that they are giving one lucky Chic Shopper Chick reader her very own "Technique" flat iron! This Flat Iron retails for $120 and is fantastic! Not only can you use it to make your hair sleek and smooth, you can also use it to make waves and curls! And, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it's PINK!

To enter to win, just follow the easy-peasy rules below!

As a Breast Cancer suvivor of eight months now, I would have to pick this very iron you are offering or the contest as my favorite. First, because it's pink and second, because my hair in coming back in very curly (I had LONG straight hair) and I just don't know what to do with it. So this iron would be the ideal solutions to my curly hair problem ! Thank you so very much for a lovely contest offer and a chance to win and a Big thank you to FHI for supporting breast cancer !!

I really think the FHI Pink Flat Iron that is part of this giveaway is my favorite item since I have been wanting a flat iron for the longest time so I can achieve those long straight sleek hairstyles that are so amazing. But, since I want to mention something not in the giveaway I will say my favorite item from FHI is the Nano Weight Pro 1900 Blowdryer. It is one of the lightest professional dryers on the market and to me this is a huge plus! And, it is powerful as well so this is the best of the best!

I was looking at the Technique flat irons, and I would love, love, love one. I never knew what a flat iron could do, until I walked by a kiosk at the mall and got a demo. It made my fine, flat, limp hair look like Charlie's Angels hair. I wanted one, and I told my husband about it and how much it was and that was the end of that. But I think if I had one, and I had Charlie's Angels hair, he would appreciate it.

Although there's no chance I would ever spend $450 on a flat iron, the Runway must sure be fantastic! My mess of thick, partially-curly, frizzy hair sure could use it though.

Thanks!
