Chic Shopper Chick Giveaway -- Casio Waveceptor Timepiece

The folks over at Casio and I have decided to partner to bring you a last-minute Father's Day giveaway! Read on to find out more!

The Casio Waveceptor is seriously one of the coolest watches I've ever laid eyes on. Is is sleek and sophisticated, but it could easily be worn with shorts and a t-shirt or a shirt and tie. Are you ready for the part that I think is coolest? Your hubby or dad will never have to worry about setting his watch to the exact time again, or worry about adjusting his watch for Daylight Saving Time changes. The Waveceptor receives the official US government time several times a day via a time calibration signal from the atomic transmitter in Ft. Collins, CO. What?!?! That's so cool! This would actually be really great for hubby because he is a radio engineer, and he always has to call Colorado for the precise time to make sure that the show goes on the air at the right time, commercials are aired properly, etc.

Hubby's last watch had a little square for the date of the month, and the first time I adjusted it my fingers almost fell off from turning the dial (ok, that was a little dramatic, but they were definitely red afterwards...). Well, my fingers are much happier knowing that the Waveceptor has a perpetual clock -- so it always knows what day of the month it is -- not even a leap year can confuse it. This is one smart watch!

A few other features of this watch: it has capability for 3 separate alarms (time to call your wife, time to bring your wife some flowers, time to tell your wife how much you love her), a LED light with afterglow, and it is water resistant for up to 100 meters, (that's 328 feet for those of us who aren't so great with the metric system).

This watch is the next hottest thing -- it's brand new and not even available in Casio's online store just yet. However, if you aren't the winner, fear not: they are available for purchase in Kohl's stores around the country.

So, would you like to win it? I thought so. Rules are below!

  • Leave a comment on this post telling me why a man in your life deserves this watch!
  • Please leave a valid email address if you would like to be contacted if you win. Otherwise, winners are posted here and on Prizey Fetch.

This contest will end early on Saturday, June 14th at midnight. I will contact the winner by email on the 15th, so you can print out a picture of this watch at least to give to your hubby or father if you are the winner. I will have your prize shipped ASAP, but at least you will know it's coming.

Good luck!

Chic Shopper Chick Giveaway - From*Me Tees

Have you ever been an innocent bystander somewhere and witnessed someone wearing shirt that sported a not-so-positive message? I certainly have, and sometimes just reading them makes me turn red in the face. I don't even have to go into specifics for you to know the shirts I'm talking about because I know right now you are sitting there at your computer, nodding your head. Anyway, I found this company and their products a really refreshing change of pace, and a great way to promote the good things in our world!

Last week I had a sweet little surprise for hubby when I showed up wearing this adorable shirt thanks to "From Me Tees". The front of it says "MHR" but on the back shoulder it says "My Husband Rocks". I am picky about my t-shirts, and have a slight problem with everything not being long enough for me, but I didn't have that problem with this shirt. It was a great length and a great fit, though I do advise you checking their sizing charts depending on the shirt that you choose because some of them run smaller than others.

From*me Tees offers a variety of ways to show your love for your spouse via a cute t-shirt. The one I have is the Retro Pink "My Husband Rocks". I also really like their line of shirts for engaged couples that say "My Wife to Be Rocks" (or "My Husband to Be Rocks" as it may be!). They also sell some, urm, intimate items for Brides-to-Be. I recently went to a lingerie shower and those would have been great gifts -- I especially like the one that says "Something Blue".

These would be so cute for everyday wear, or for a special trip or honeymoon! These t-shirts are ageless and can be appreciated by everyone! They are so comfortable and soft -- I love mine and can't get it out of the wash fast enough! Check out the rest of the adorable products to celebrate your spouse at "From*me Tees".

Bonus! If you order 2 or more products from From*Me Tees and mention that you saw this product review on Chic Shopper Chick, your shipping costs will be refunded by the next business day!

Win it! From*Me Tees is generously offering to give one Chic Shopper Chick reader one of their Marriage Tees valued at $18 or less! To win, comment on this post with a statement of why your spouse rocks and which product from their website you would choose if you won. You can go to their website to click around and make your decision!

Time for Taxes

So, I know what you're thinking - hello! Tax season is sooo ovah! Ok, so you may be right, but before you know it you'll be throwing papers all over your kitchen and laundry room, looking for that one form that you need to do your taxes that you just know you had only 5 months before and could have sworn that you put it right in that drawer. (Or, uh, really, is that just me?)

Ahem, well, either way -- here is a cool and easy way to keep all of your stuff together, in one place, clearly labeled (important for me, since I am excellent at filing things away and never finding them again) so when you go to do your taxes next year, you will have everything right there at your fingertips. This "Tax.Filer" made by "Buttoned Up" (a totally cool company if you have yet to see their website) will do all the dirty work for you -- all you have to do is insert the correct papers in the correct places and keep it in a designated spot for 2009. Easy enough? Pop on over to Buttoned Up to pick one up for only $20. A small price to pay for sanity, no?

Ruffin' It

Ok, so I cannot resist this hilarious t-shirt from Hatley Nature! It has a picture of a dog camping and says "Ruffin' it". I honestly laughed out loud when I saw it and promptly came here to blog about it! Oh, aren't you glad I have a sense of humor?

Wanna hear the really cool part?

(I knew you did)

It's completely organic cotton.

Equally as cool?

It's ON SALE, and oh, how I love a sale! Grab one, heck, grab a couple for $9.99 each at Hatley Nature, for the men in your life. (Or, for yourself, if you, uh, happen to be a man.)
