Hey CSC - hope your b'day has been a happy one!
Another sunny day in our neck of the woods.
I long for Fall.
No more sweating each time I step out the door.
No more sticky humidity.
Blissfully cool days.
No more squeezing into my swimsuit.
No more looking absolutely dreadful in my swimsuit.
No more slathering on the sunscreen.
No more fighting with my daughter to keep her hat on.
No more getting baked every time we get into a hot car.
No more shrieking every time someone leaves the door open too long and lets the cool air escape.
Yup, I do like the fall.
We get to open our windows.
We get to enjoy being outside.
The playground swings aren't going to scorch the kids.
The hot cement isn't going to singe their toes.
I guess I'm not the one you'd pick to be a spokesperson for summer . . .
But if you need someone to plug the merits of fall, I'm your (wo)man!
Don't even get me started on winter.
The one time of year I actually get to feel cold.
Can you tell I'm not in the north?!
I know they have their fill of cold weather.
But for me, I love to say 'brr, it's cold!'
It almost sounds exotic!
It's a sentence I have to keep stored away all year long.
I get to dust it off reverently and bring it out for a brief month or 2 each year.
So you'll have to excuse me if I overuse it a little.
It's the same with my seldom worn winter coats.
I love to buy coats.
I think they're wonderul assets to any wardrobe.
They can make a gal so glamorous.
So I always scoop up a couple during winter sales.
I save them for the next winter.
The minute I sniff that cold weather, I am into those coats.
It's their only chance to see the light of the day.
It's the least I can do.
I am crusader for my coats.
I take my job very seriously.
Oh well, now you know my coat story.
And you're probably bored to tears.
But you have to admit, it's better than posting the same thing over and over.
At least I am trying to keep you entertained:)
It's 9:46pm my time.
This serial posting takes stamina.
My typing fingers are tiring.
My mouse-clicking hand is aching.
All for the love of a Micralite.
It is a beautiful stroller though.
Quite worth the sacrifice.
I had vanilla cake for dinner.
Yup, a real health nut here.
My daughter is made to eat healthily.
She leads an exemplary lifestyle.
Sometimes under duress . . .
Her mother, on the other hand, is terrible.
She has awful eating habits.
She is hardly leading by example.
But I have chosen to adopt the 'do as I say, not as I do' philosophy, when it comes to food.
An old dog cannot do new tricks.
How can I be expected to adopt a healthy lifestyle?
When I have spent my life - up to this point - eating whatever sugar-filled junk crossed my path?!
OK, that is a slight exaggeration.
The point is, I have some bad eating habits.
I am trying not to let my daughter witness this.
I sneakily consume my candy bars.
Whenever she catches me, guess what she says?!
"Mommy - mine!"
She has a sweet tooth just like her mama!

There have been some busy people since I've been gone!
We had leftovers for dinner
They were fine-gotta marinate some chicken for tomorrow night
